The Washington Commanders will take on the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship game, and the early betting lines have been released. Per DraftKings, the Eagles enter the game as a 4.5-point favorite over the Commanders. For the moneyline, the Eagles are at -238 and the Commanders are at +195. The over/under is set at 48.5.

The Commanders are back in the NFC Championship for the first time since the 1991 season, which was the last time they won the Super Bowl. Rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels led the Commanders over the Detroit Lions in their Divisional Round playoff game on Saturday night, throwing for 299 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 51 yards. Commanders running back Brian Robinson tallied two rushing TDs in the 45-21 win.

“I’m elated, I’m so happy for the DMV, I can’t imagine what’s going on there,” Commanders owner Josh Harris said after the game, per Commanders Wire. “I’m so happy for these guys. I just listened to the sounds of the locker room; I couldn’t leave.”

When asked when he realized this season could be special, Harris said, “When [Dan Quinn] and Adam [Peters] came, right? We knew, we went to the draft, went through free agency, and then we ended up with this group of guys, and it started building. I’ve always said, ‘culture, talent, and people.’ You know, when you have the right people….I’ve been talking to a lot of people [about] what’s going on in that locker room is different. It’s different.”

“I always believe,” Daniels said of being an underdog, per NFL.com. “I always believe that we could achieve more than what people give us credit for, but you gotta go out there putting in work, you gotta go out there and work daily, get better each and every day. Just put your head down and grind, and by the time of the season, you look up and you might be in a position like this.”

The Commanders have turned things around in a big way this year. After having seven consecutive non-winning seasons and making the playoffs once during that span, Washington finished the regular season with a 12-5 record. The Commanders defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Lions to reach the conference title game. Since winning the Super Bowl in 1991, the Commanders have made the playoffs eight times.

This will be the third time the Commanders and Eagles will face each other this year. On Nov. 14, the Eagles beat the Commanders 26-18 in a Thursday Night Football contest. A month later, the Commanders took down the Eagles 36-33.

The NFC Championship between the Commanders and Eagles will kick off on Sunday, Jan. 26 at 3 p.m. ET and air on Fox.
