Former Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart is one of the most precise passers in the NFL Draft this year, according to ESPN’s Field Yates.

However, there is a question about his game as it translates to the pros. This 2025 class is headlined by Miami’s Cam Ward and Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders.

But there seems to be a race to be QB3 and potentially move all the way up into the first round in April. Dart could be that guy, but Yates has a question when he changes schemes in the NFL.

“Jaxson Dart from Ole Miss, you don’t have to worry about the precision passing with this guy,” Yates said on SportsCenter. “He has one of the most beautiful arms that you will see. Not just at the Senior Bowl this week but over the past several classes. Big question for him, what it is like paying under duress? That scheme at Ole Miss was outstanding. He was rarely playing with a bunch of defenders bearing down on him.”

Dart played four years of college football and after spending his freshman season at USC, Dart transferred to Ole Miss.

Over the course of his career with the Rebels (three seasons), Dart finished with 10,617 yards, 72 touchdowns, 22 interceptions and a 65.7% completion percentage.

As a member of the Class of 2021, Dart was a four-star recruit out of Draper (Utah) Corner Canyon, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 2 overall prospect in the state, the No. 7 quarterback in the class and the No. 42 overall prospect in the class.

Dart went out the right way, helping Ole Miss to a bowl game victory over Duke. He actually set the Gator Bowl record for most passing yards in a single game.

“Yeah, that’s pretty cool,” Dart said after that game. “I didn’t know that. Just blessed to have the players around me that I do. These are the best teammates in the country and the best coaching staff who always put us in position to go execute and make big plays, and I feel like we were in rhythm all night tonight. Yeah, it was just a lot of fun, and this was a great event. It was an awesome bowl game, and we had a great time. Just really appreciative of the opportunity.”

The NFL Draft is scheduled for April 24-26 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
