NFL Draft Odds: Favorites emerge for top wide receiver selected in first round
At next month’s NFL Draft, wide receivers are likely to yank away some of the spotlight from the quarterbacks. You may have as many as four QBs in the top 10. There will be a trio of wideouts there as well.
But who may be the top receiver in the NFL Draft? Is it a receiver from Ohio State or Washington or LSU. Take your pick.
We go to FanDuel, which crunched the latest odds. Let’s go to the names and the reasons why these receivers are such elite prospects.
Marvin Harrison Ohio State -1050
Harrison, the former Buckeye, seems to be the consensus to go as the No. 1 receiver. It is doubtful he will go first or second. This year, those spots are reserved for quarterbacks, with Caleb Williams at No. 1 and either Drake Maye or Jayden Daniels destined for No. 2.
But the Patriots could come into play for Harrison at No. 3. Again, that is if New England decides against a quarterback. And why not Harrison? He has great size at 6-3 and 209. There is his production. And those bloodlines. Dad Marvin Harrison Sr is a Pro Football Hall of Famer. Son should beat his dad in the NFL Draft. Sr went 19th in 1996.

Malik Nabers LSU +850
If you are looking for a receiver, why not look at the favorite target of the Heisman winner. After all, Jayden Daniels loved throwing to Nabers. He is not as long as Harrison, coming in at 6 feet. But at 200, he still has nice size.
And Nabers also figures to become another former LSU receiver who excels in the NFL. Draft analyst Lance Zierlein likens him to Justin Jefferson.
Rome Odunze Washington +1200
And coming in at No. 3, at least among the NFL draft gamblers, is Odunze, the former Husky and favorite receiver of Michael Penix Jr. Odunze was the only one of the big three who showed off his skills at the NFL Combine last week.
Odunze ran a 4.45 in the 40. He was not the fastest, but he was plenty quick enough for someone who is 6-3 and 212 pounds. Zierlein dropped the name Larry Fitzgerald as the best comparison for Odunze.
