NFL Free Agency: Chuma Edoga signs with Dallas Cowboys
After four seasons in the NFL, offensive lineman Chuma Edoga is heading from the free agency market to the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys confirmed the signing on Tuesday. He visited the team facilities on Monday along with two other free agents – running back Ronald Jones and linebacker Travin Howard.
Dallas had reportedly looked at signing Edoga last offseason when Tyron Smith suffered a preseason injury. Now, he signs a one-year deal with the team.
Edoga is a former third-round pick out of USC. The New York Jets snagged him in the 2019 NFL Draft.
He was in and out of the lineup for New York over the course of his first three years, appearing in 23 games during that span. After the Jets released him, the Atlanta Falcons picked him up. He appeared in two games for the team in 2022.
Edoga played left guard for the Falcons before suffering a season-ending knee injury. He has the opportunity to compete for a starting spot on the Cowboys OL following Connor McGovern‘s departure.
