Tyreek Hill reportedly received two citations during his traffic stop Sunday, according to ESPN’s Jeff Darlington.

The Miami-Dade Police Union already released a statement, saying Hill was “uncooperative” during the incident. Teammate Calais Campbell, who was on scene, did not receive a citation, per Darlington.

“Per sources, Tyreek Hill received two citations as a result of his traffic stop Sunday: Careless driving and a seatbelt violation,” Darlington wrote on Twitter. “Calais Campbell, who said after the game police told him they briefly placed him in handcuffs for ‘disobeying a direct order,’ did not end up receiving a citation.

“The Miami-Dade Police Department told me this morning that it remains an internal investigation so they cannot yet provide the details into what led to the citation for careless driving or why Hill was detained face-down on the ground in handcuffs. One of the officers on the scene remains on administrative duty.”

Shortly after the incident, Miami-Dade Police Department director Stephanie V. Daniels released a statement, revealing one of the officers involved in the detainment had been placed on administrative leave.

“Following the incident involving Tyreek Hill, I have initiated an Internal Affairs investigation to ensure a thorough review of the matter,” Daniels wrote. “One of the officers involved in the incident has been placed on administrative duties while the investigation is conducted I’m committed to transparency and accountability to the community with any situation involving my officers.”

Hill’s agent Drew Rosenhaus called the entire situation “mind-boggling” when he spoke live on ESPN pregame.

“It’s a heartbreaking situation,” Rosenhaus said. “How things escalated into the situation that they were in handcuffs and being held on the ground with police is mind-boggling to me.

“I’m deeply concerned by that, very troubled. We will be looking into it, we will be investigating this, we will look out for Tyreek, but I’m not going to make any allegations at this time. The most important thing is Tyreek is OK.”
