NFL insider reveals Denver Bronco's asking price for coveted wideout Jerry Jeudy
With a spate of other capable wide receiver options, the Denver Broncos have reportedly gotten a number of calls about wideout Jerry Jeudy for a potential trade. And the asking price for the former Alabama star is lofty.
According to Jeff Howe of The Athletic, the Broncos want a first round pick for Jeudy, at least. Whether a team finds that palatable and can get a deal sorted out — or if he remains a Bronco — remains to be seen.
The price makes sense when compared against some other recent receiver trades. The Chicago Bears sent a second round pick to the Pittsburgh Steelers for Chase Claypool last season, the Kansas City Chiefs got Kadarius Toney from the New York Giants for a sixth round pick (plus a comp pick), and higher up in the receiver echelon, both AJ Brown and Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown were dealt for first round picks on the night of the 2022 NFL Draft.
Conversely, some recent stars have gone for low prices, notably Jalen Ramsey to the Miami Dolphins for a third-round pick, tight end Darren Waller to the New York Giants for a third round pick.
In three NFL seasons, Jeudy has struggled to produce consistent stretches of play, but has flashed some of his upside. A former first round pick himself, he has 2295 career receiving yards and nine touchdowns in 41 games.

New England Patriots have called about star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, Jerry Jeudy
The New England Patriots are looking to get help at the wide receiver position, and The Athletic’s Jeff Howe reports they are in the market for some big names.
New England has called the Arizona Cardinals about superstar DeAndre Hopkins and the Denver Broncos about Jerry Jeudy. The Patriots also attended the workout for Odell Beckham Jr.
Howe added that while they are in the mix for top wide receiver talent, the cost for these players is going to matter to them.
Patriots offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien coached Hopkins in Houston before he traded him to Arizona in 2020.
The Patriots went 8-9 last season. Running back Rhamondre Stevenson was their leading pass catcher.
