The latest 2024 NFL Mock Draft is in from CBS Sports with big changes in the selections ahead of the College Football Playoff National Championship Game.

Michigan and Washington are scheduled to battle Monday in the final game of the season. As far as NFL teams are concerned, it’s the final weekend before the playoffs.

Let’s dive into the latest NFL Mock Draft from CBS Sports, this time from Ryan Wilson.

1. Washington Commanders: Caleb Williams, QB – USC

In a mock trade from Wilson, Williams will return to the D.C. area, but this time as a pro. The former Heisman Trophy winner could be the savior the Commanders need.

The franchise already received a facelift in ownership. So looks like quarterback is next and maybe stadium upgrades? Or a new one entirely? This move could shape the rest of the draft.

2. New England Patriots: Drake Maye, QB – UNC

Another mock trade! Washington moves up to No. 1 with the Bears and the Patriots get the No. 2 from Washington here to select Maye.

Regardless if Bill Belichick is back or not, the Patriots need a new quarterback badly. The Mac Jones experiment looks over and Maye is the best prospect not named Caleb Williams.

3. Chicago Bears: Marvin Harrison Jr., WR – Ohio State

So here is the final trade in the top three picks as the Bears move down two spots and select Harrison Jr. Whatever king’s ransom they get, it’ll help next season as well.

Harrison Jr. is the best wideout in the class and he’ll easily be the go-to target for Justin Fields. All of sudden, it’s time to get excited about the Bears next season.

4. Arizona Cardinals: Olumuyiwa Fashanu, OT – Penn State

The Cardinals need a tackle and Fashanu is the guy to get. As Kyler Murray returns to full health, he’s starting to recapture his top form.

But to keep him healthy, he needs to be protected. Fashanu is a day one starter once he puts a Cardinals’ uniform on. Draft him.

5. New York Giants: Jayden Daniels, QB – LSU

Here we go, more quarterback dominoes coming off the board. The Giants are next with the Heisman Trophy winner.

Daniel Jones, Tommy DeVito and Tyrod Taylor? That ain’t it chief. Time to draft the next franchise quarterback. Daniels showcased otherworldly abilities this season and the Giants can’t afford to pass on him per Wilson.

6. Los Angeles Chargers: Joe Alt, OT – Notre Dame

Justin Herbert was lost for the season so it was basically a lost year for the Chargers. Enter Alt. The stalwart tackle will sure up the offensive line.

Herbert needs protection and Alt is the guy to do it. If you can’t get Fashanu, you might as well select Alt for your offensive line for the foreseeable future.

7. Tennessee Titans: JC Latham, OT – Alabama

Another top tackle off the board here in the top 10. Heck, we’re even on quarterbacks and tackles in the first round.

The Titans need to protect whatever quarterback is under center in 2024. Will Levis, Ryan Tannehill? Doesn’t matter, get the tackle and improve the offensive line.

8. New York Jets: Rome Odunze, WR – Washington

You would think the Jets would want a little more protection for Aaron Rodgers. Well, you could always get him another weapon.

Imagine a top two with Garrett Wilson and Odunze? That’s pretty tantalizing to think about. If the Jets have any Super Bowl window, they need all superstars on deck.

9. Atlanta Falcons: Dallas Turner, EDGE – Alabama

The Falcons could use an elite pass rusher and why not take the best one available? Whether or not Atlanta makes the playoffs could determine the positioning here.

Turner brings a tenacity needed by all teams in the NFL. The Falcons just happen to get the pick of the litter when it comes to the pass rushers.

10. Chicago Bears: Jared Verse, EDGE – Florida State

What a top 10 for the Bears. Getting Harrison Jr. and Verse within the span of seven picks? Bears’ fans are celebrating already.

With an elite pass rusher in the fold, a rising Chicago defense only gets better. Verse proved time and time again how good he is while with the Seminoles.

11. Las Vegas Raiders: Michael Penix Jr., QB – Washington
12. Minnesota Vikings: Laiatu Latu, EDGE – UCLA
13. New Orleans Saints: Malik Nabers, WR – LSU
14. Denver Broncos: Brian Thomas Jr., WR – LSU
15. Seattle Seahawks: Taliese Fuaga, OT – Oregon State
16. Cincinnati Bengals: Jer’Zhan Newton, DL – Illinois
17. Arizona Cardinals: Keon Coleman, WR – Florida State
18. Pittsburgh Steelers: Nate Wiggins, CB – Clemson
19. Green Bay Packers: Kool-Aid McKinstry, CB – Alabama
20. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Brock Bowers, TE – Georgia
21. Indianapolis Colts: Troy Fautanu, OL – Washington
22. Jacksonville Jaguars: Cooper DeJean, CB – Iowa
23. Los Angeles Rams: Amarius Mims, OT – Georgia
24. Buffalo Bills: Adonai Mitchell, WR – Texas
25. Kansas City Chiefs: Tyler Guyton, OT – Oklahoma
26. Philadelphia Eagles: Quinyon Mitchell, CB – Toledo
27. Detroit Lions: Bralen Trice, CB – Washington
28. Houston Texans: Chop Robinson, EDGE – Penn State
29. Miami Dolphins: Graham Barton, OT – Duke
30. Dallas Cowboys: Kamari Lassiter, CB – Georgia
31. San Francisco 49ers: Kingsley Suamataia, OT – BYU
32. Baltimore Ravens: Byron Murphy II, DL – Texas

The latest mock draft is in the books. But with the playoffs on tap, the order can certainly change. With drama at the top, it could have a ripple effect throughout the first round.
