As of Saturday morning, there is no record of Worthy posting a bond. Georgetown, Tex., is located roughly half an hour north of Austin, which is the home of the Texas Longhorns where he played three years of college football.

More on Xavier Worthy

Xavier Worthy just finished his rookie season in the NFL with the Chiefs after losing to the Philadelphia Eagles last month in the Super Bowl. In the end, Philadelphia came away with a 40-22 blowout win over the Chiefs. Still, he made history in defeat.

He became the first former Longhorn to score a touchdown during a Super Bowl after finishing the game with 157 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns, including a 50-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

With his performance, Worthy broke the record for the most receiving yards by a rookie wideout in the Super Bowl. The previous record was owned by Torry Holt and Chris Matthews, who were tied at 109 yards. Overall, recorded 59 receptions for 638 yards and six touchdowns during during his rookie season.

This all came after he was drafted No. 28 overall in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Worthy cemented his draft status in early March when he ran a 4.21-second time in the 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine. He broke the previous combine record of 4.22, previously owned by John Ross.

During his collegiate career, the wide receiver started 39 games during his three seasons with the Longhorns. He made an immediate impact. But that was expected from Worthy, where he ranked as the second-best receiver prospect in the country in the class of 2021, according to the On3 Industry Rankings that cycle.
