According to a report from TMZ Sports, Baltimore Ravens running back Gus Edwards is suing a strip club over an armed robbery that took place in December. Edwards says he and a friend were held at gun point by masked men, taking three items of jewelry worth nearly $135,000.

TMZ Sports was able to obtain the lawsuit, explaining the exact story Edwards gave to the police. The incident took place in Los Angeles, CA, where Edwards and Loomis Zayzay are now suing both the strip club and the valet service it uses.

“The 26-year-old Baltimore Ravens player spelled out the allegations in a new lawsuit, obtained by TMZ Sports, saying he and his friend, Loomis Zayzay, were at Crazy Girls on Dec. 11, 2021 when the robbery went down.

“Edwards says he and Zayzay drove their vehicle to the club’s valet and paid the $60 fee to leave their ride there. Edwards says the two then entered the venue, and paid another $800 to sit in a private area guarded by security.

“But, Edwards says after about an hour, Crazy Girls employees began fighting — so the two men left. When they went to pick up their car at the valet outside the club, Edwards says five masked men — each holding a firearm — got out of a car, confronted them, and demanded their jewelry.”

TMZ reach out to both Edward’s lawyer and Crazy Girls for comment but neither has returned. Edwards and Zayzay are suing the two entities for $800,000 worth of damages.

Edwards last played in the NFL during the 2020 season for the Ravens. Playing in all 16 games, he only started in six of them, rushing for 723 yards and six touchdowns on 144 rushes. Missing the entire 2021 season on injured reserve with a torn ACL, Edwards will be hoping to return next season with Baltimore.

Entering the league during the 2018 season, Edwards was an undrafted free agent before signing with John Harbaugh and becoming part of their ground attack. He was instantly thrown into the rotation and has rushed for 2,152 yards and 10 touchdowns in his three seasons.

Edwards spent his final season of college football with Rutgers after being in Coral Gables with the Miami Hurricanes for four seasons. He ran for a career of 1,690 yards and 18 touchdowns in college. As a recruit, Edwards was ranked a four-star prospect according to the On3 Consensus. He was originally a member of the 2013 recruiting class, being the No. 3 player to come out of the state of New York.
