Noah Gragson is one driver still looking for a ride in 2025 with Stewart-Haas Racing set to close up shop after the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season.

With Silly Season in full swing, Gragson has engaged in discussions with teams over the last month, and it appears an announcement is on the horizon. Speaking with Bob Pockrass of FOX Sports ahead of Sunday’s Chicago Street Race, Gragson said he feels confident “within the next week or two,” something will come out as it pertains to his Cup Series future.

“I think probably within the next week or two you’ll probably start hearing some stuff,” Gragson said. “… It definitely allows you the closer you get to focus more on just doing your job on the weekend [rather than] your mind wondering what’s gonna happen next year. Obviously, it’s easier said than done not to think about next year and focus on right now. It definitely is something that I feel like I can compete on Sundays with these guys. And hopefully we get that opportunity.”

Noah Gragson linked with Cup Series race team

Gragson, 25, has been linked with Front Row Motorsports. Front Row currently has two open vacancies after Michael McDowell signed with Spire Motorsports and the race team purchased one of SHR’s charters. Nothing, however, is official.

Gragson’s 2024 campaign has been up and down, as he sits 23rd in the points standings. He has tallied six top 10s and one top-five, at times looking like the fastest car at SHR. Gragson previously raced full-time in the Xfinity Series for four seasons with JR Motorsports. Piloting the No. 9 Chevrolet, Gragson compiled end-of-season points standings finishes of eighth, fifth, third and second. He recorded 13 wins.

“It was definitely an emotional week, challenging week for our organization but the goal still stands,” Gragson said after SHR announced its closure. “I brought my team together and told them, ‘Hey, don’t burn a bridge. Don’t say something out of spite or what not and be frustrated. It’s gonna be a challenge today and I know how much this place means to you guys.’ That, and the goal still continues of let’s work hard. And the harder we work, the better opportunity we have to build our stock as a team. And have an opportunity in the future.
