Odell Beckham Jr. speaks out about allegations after being named in Diddy complaint

NFL wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was wrapped up in the ongoing case against Sean Combs (aka P. Diddy) over alleged sexual offenses on Sunday, as he was named as a defendant in a lawsuit filed in the Northern District of California.

Among others, Combs, Beckham Jr. and comedian Drew Desbordes, better known as Druski, were part of the lawsuit. You can view a copy of the entire 87-page filing here. WARNING: It contains graphic material.

Now, Beckham Jr. and Desbordes are speaking out: “This allegation is a fabricated lie,” the comedian said in a statement via social media. “I wasn’t a public figure in 2018 — I was broke living with my mom without any connections to the entertainment industry at the time of this allegation, so the inclusion of my name is truly outlandish.”

“My heart breaks for actual victims of abuse, but I’m fully confident that the evidence will expose this falsehood and the individuals who are maliciously trying to game the legal system to peddle false narratives.”

Beckham Jr. commented on the post, believing their names will be cleared: “Boy I’ll tell u what. This world makes absolutely no sense,” the wide receiver added. “I am covered by God. He will prevail. I kno who am I, I kno who u are, keep ur head. That name will be cleared. Shxts stupid.”

Time will tell what’s next for Beckham Jr. and Desbordes. As for the former, the Super Bowl LVI champion and three-time Pro Bowler last suited up for the Miami Dolphins during the 2024 season. That was his fourth team in as many years, with Beckham’s production tailing off considerably.

He logged just nine appearances in 2024 in Miami, tallying nine catches for 55 yards. But at his best, Beckham was a superstar on the gridiron. In the first six years of his career, Beckham posted five seasons topping the 1,000-yard mark receiving. He racked up 48 touchdowns during that timeframe, playing mostly with the New York Giants.

However, Beckham has not topped the 600-yard mark receiving since 2019, his first year with the Browns. He had a miniature resurgence in Baltimore in 2023, when he managed to log 14 appearances and tallied 35 catches for 565 yards and three touchdowns. As it stands, Odell Beckham Jr. has logged 575 career catches for 7,987 yards and 59 touchdowns.
