The Dallas Cowboys are playing host to Ohio State Buckeyes star receiver Chris Olave on Tuesday, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. After welcoming Arkansas receiver Treylon Burks on Monday, it looks like the Cowboys are seriously considering taking a wideout in the first round in the 2022 NFL Draft this month.

Olave is already racking up miles in the first two days of top-30 prospect meetings. He met with the New York Jets on Monday, alongside former Buckeyes teammate Garrett Wilson.

In NFL draft expert Mel Kiper’s mock draft 3.0, Chris Olave goes to the Philadelphia Eagles with their second consecutive pick at No. 16. However, if he slips down the board, he could fall to the Cowboys at No. 24 overall.

“Smooth. Tremendously productive. Soft hands. The experience coming ready into the league will benefit him tremendously,” Kiper said of Olave.

The Ohio State speedster wowed at the NFL Combine, posting a 4.39-second 40-yard dash. In his final season in Columbus, Olave racked up 65 catches, 936 yards and 13 scores.

Cowboys host Arkansas star Treylon Burks on Monday

The Dallas Cowboys hosted potential first-round pick Treylon Burks on Monday, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. The 6-foot-3, 225-pound, wide receiver out of Arkansas will reportedly travel 10,109 miles in the next two weeks while visiting teams ahead of the 2022 NFL Draft. Later this week, Burks will be in Tampa Bay with the Buccaneers.

The three-year Razorbacks starter is the sixth wide receiver off of the board in Mel Kiper’s latest mock draft. Kiper has the Green Bay Packers taking Burks with the No. 28 overall pick. However, if the Dallas Cowboys like him enough, they could draft him with their No. 24 pick.

If Burks slips past the Cowboys, the Bucs could grab him at No. 27. They’re just two organizations looking to beef up their wide receivers room after the 2021 season. Dallas lost second-leading receiver Amari Cooper to the Cleveland Browns, meanwhile, Tampa returns NFL legend Tom Brady for at least one more year.
