Oklahoma State QB Alan Bowman declares for the 2025 NFL Draft
Oklahoma State QB Alan Bowman has officially ended what was a seven-year career for him in college football.
Bowman did so today by declaring himself for the 2025 NFL Draft with a post on social media.
“First, I want to take a moment to praise my Lord and savior, Jesus Christ, for giving me the talent and ability to play this game I love. I thank God for the journey, the struggles, and the people that have helped shaped me into the person I am today,” Bowman wrote. “I want to thank my beautiful fianceé Jessica and my family for sacrificing every weekend in the fall to endlessly support me and my dream. To the hundreds of teammates that I have had the pleasure of sharing the field with…thank you for all the memories, early mornings, and championship moments we shared.”
“To Oklahoma State, the past two years have been a wild ride. Thank you to everyone who supported us along the way. I would not have wanted to finish my career anywhere else. This is a special place with special people #Loyalandtrue,” wrote Bowman. “It is time to take the next step in my career and pursue a lifelong dream of playing in the NFL. I’m excited to announce that I will be declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft.”
Over his seven seasons in college, Bowman spent three at Texas Tech, two at Michigan, and then the past two at Oklahoma State. He redshirted twice, once regularly and once with a medical redshirt, and got an additional season from the pandemic to get him to that total of years with the Red Raiders, Wolverines, and Cowboys. During that span, he appeared in 50 games with 40 starts, most of which came while with the ‘Pokes.

In total, Bowman was 994-1,565 (63.5%) in passing for 11,212 yards overall, 65 touchdowns, and 44 interceptions.
While the starter the last two years in Stillwater, Bowman was decent as he was 508-841 (60.4%) for 5,883 yards but 31 touchdowns to 26 picks. Despite their record this year, Bowman did help the Cowboys to win 13 games between the two seasons, though, including an appearance in the Big 12 Championship in 2023.
Circumstances led to Bowman having one of the longer careers in college. However, he’ll now finally be going pro with his declaration this afternoon.
