Oregon vs. Oregon State odds: Early point spread for Civil War, how to watch

Oregon and Oregon State might not be conference foes anymore — but that doesn’t make this year’s edition of the Civil War any less intense.
Usually a late-season matchup, the Ducks and Beavers must do battle during the early season, non-conference slate. Still, that doesn’t take away from fan’s excitement for the annual rivalry game.
Heading into Week 3, FanDuel Sportbook sees the Ducks as favorites during the matchup, heading into weekend as a 15.5-point favorites (-690 moneyline) against Oregon State on the road. The over/under point total is set at 53.5 points.
Historically, Oregon leads the all-time series 68-49-10. However, the teams have split the last four matchups since 2020 after the Ducks won 11 of their 12 matchups between 2008 and 2019.

Oregon’s Bo Nix threw seven incomplete passes on 40 attempts while totaling over 400 yards and three touchdowns by himself en route to the home win. Meanwhile on the Oregon State wide of things, DJ Uiagalelei threw for 220 yards, a touchdown and an interception in what ended up being a three-score loss.
Both quarterbacks have since moved on, as Nix is set to start the season opener on Sunday for the Denver Broncos in his NFL debut while Uiagalelei has moved on after transferring to Florida State.
However, after 2023’s Civil War was played, many were concerened that Oregon’s move to the Big Ten Conference would put the rivalry series — which was first played in 1894 — on hold.
“I’d love to play this team,” Lanning said of a matchup in 2024, which would obviously later come into fruition. “And I think this is a great rivalry for the state of Oregon. I think it’s a great rivalry for football and certainly love to keep it going. If we got to put the ball out in the parking lot, that’s fine with me.”
