Pablo Torre provides latest information on alleged Bill Belichick, Jordon Hudson engagement

Pablo Torre provided the latest on the alleged Bill Belichick-Jordon Hudson engagement when he joined Mike Florio on Pro Football Talk. It was initially reported the two were engaged earlier this month, based on what Hudson reportedly told at least one person amid the Hard Knocks cancellation.

Then, the speculation was fueled when Belichick’s boat, “VII Rings,” had a new “I” added in front, signaling eight rings. That was naturally assumed to be an engagement ring for Hudson.

But as Torre reported, that isn’t necessarily the case. Still, this is a story that won’t go away until there is a concrete answer.

“I’ve made calls about this. It’s on the list of stuff too. I don’t think it’s the most impactful when it comes to what my next episode should be about, but I can tell you that Bill Belichick, in March of this year, was asked by a close friend, point blank, directly, are you engaged to Jordon Hudson,” Torre said to Florio. “And he said, ‘Absolutely not.’ Now since then, of course, a lot can happen. Love can bloom. Lots of things can happen as the heat, as the heat is on, as it were, I would say that, what I’m also told, though, is that the boat, the eight rings thing, that seems to be a reference to her Bridgewater State cheerleading championship ring, and not an actual ring. 

“Her now wearing a ring, though, in these airport photos that I certainly cannot verify. Don’t know where they’re from, yet. I suspect that she really likes being talked about. And the curse is that there are some people who she can’t control, and she doesn’t appreciate the way that I or you may be doing it. And to that I say, that is going to be a big problem, as somebody who wants to live a life in public.”

Now, there have been concerns that Belichick’s relationship with Hudson, whether they’re engaged or not, has become a distraction. The new UNC coach denied that.

This came out despite Hudson interfering with the CBS This Morning interview, allegedly being the reason why Hard Knocks pulled out of following UNC this summer and forcing her way onto a Super Bowl commercial alongside Belichick.

“That’s what I do as I stay focused on football and some of the other opportunities that come along,” Belichick said on The Pivot Podcast. “You know, Jordon looks at those and can dig into them a little bit deeper, but really, what she does helps me spend my time on football, and that’s what’s important to me.”
