Packers' AJ Dillon visits children in hospital, hands out his new children's book
AJ Dillon is one of the good guys in the NFL. The Green Bay Packers running back visited children in the Bellin Hospital on Thursday morning, meeting and greeting several kids while also handing out signed copies of his inspirational children’s book.
Dillon met with several pediatric patients and their families, while also providing them with a copy of his book, Quadzilla Finds His Footing. In several photos and videos posted, you can see his presence brought out a lot of smiles.
It was a really awesome gesture from the NFL star:
It’s always cool to see professional athletes take time to help out others. And it certainly seemed to bring a lot of joy to the children and their families at Bellin Hospital.
Dillon launched Quadzilla Finds His Footing on Tuesday at a launch party near Lambeau Field. The book’s description reads, “an uplifting story about trying new things, even if it isn’t easy.”
Dillon took the time to visit children as he prepares for training camp, which begins on Wednesday, July 26. Regardless of what he accomplishes on the field this season, we’re considering him a Pro Bowler for his actions and kindness on Thursday.
AJ Dillon prepares for fourth NFL season
Dillon is preparing for his fourth season in the NFL after appearing in all 34 games over the past two seasons for the Packers. Over the stretch, he’s proven to be a productive piece of Green Bay’s offense.
In 2021, Dillon accounted for 803 rushing yards and five touchdowns, adding 313 receiving yards and two touchdown catches. Last fall, the running back rushed for 770 yards and seven touchdowns with 206 receiving yards.

The Packers offense will look different entering the 2023 campaign, with Aaron Rodgers now with the New York Jets. The keys have been turned over to Jordan Love. Dillon believes the new starter will have no trouble finding success.
“I think the fact that he has been here, you know, the guys know him. I came in with him. We did combine prep together,” Dillon said on SiriusXM Radio, per Wisconsin Sports Heroics. “We got drafted together. So we’ve got a great friendship and great relationship.
“But people trust him. When he enters the huddle, it’s not like it’s just some new guy that just popped up is calling the shots. He’s been there for going into the fourth year now.
“I think he definitely has the intangibles. He’s earned the trust of the locker room. Guys want to play for him. Guys want to help him as much as they want to help themselves. He’s got a lot of support, and everybody would run through a wall for him.”
