Packers' Christian Watson, Aaron Jones miss second-straight practice

On Thursday, NFL insider Adam Schefter reported that Green Bay Packers weapons Aaron Jones and Christian Watson both missed practice again with hamstring injuries.
Here was his tweet containing that news:
“No practice again for today for a second straight day for Packers’ WR Christian Watson and RB Aaron Jones, who are dealing with hamstring injuries.”
Watson did not play in the Packers’ Week 1 victory over the Chicago Bears due to his injury, while Aaron Jones left that game early. This week, neither player was able to practice on Wednesday or Thursday.
There were concerns in Week 1 that new starting quarterback Jordan Love could struggle mightily without Watson while some other wideouts, namely Romeo Doubs, would also be hampered a bit health-wise. Alas, Love showed that at least against the Bears, he was fine working with whoever was available.
Packers injury report from Wednesday
The Green Bay Packers released their first injury report of the week Wednesday as they prepare to face the Atlanta Falcons in Week 2. Four players were listed as non-participants at Wednesday’s practice, including a couple of key offensive playmakers.
Running back Aaron Jones did not practice after suffering a hamstring injury in Sunday’s win against the Chicago Bears. Receiver Christian Watson, who missed the season opener with a hamstring injury, joined him on the sidelines.

On the defensive side, linebacker Quay Walker missed practice after being put in the concussion protocol. He suffered the injury while returning an interception 37 yards for a touchdown on Sunday. Additionally, offensive tackle David Bakhtiari was listed under “veteran rest” as he heals up a knee injury.
That’s quite a few key players banged up to start off the week for the Packers, and they’ll hope at least a couple can make progress throughout the week. Jones was spectacular on Sunday to finish with 41 yards rushing and a touchdown to go along with two catches for 86 yards, including a 35-yard touchdown reception.
Expect AJ Dillon to lead the backfield if Jones is unable to go.
Elsewhere on the Packers injury report, three players were limited Wednesday. They include receiver Romeo Doubs (hamstring), linebacker Rashan Gary (knee) and offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins (knee). All three players were dealing with the injuries heading into Week 1, but managed to play anyway.
Lastly on the Packers injury report, safety Anthony Johnson Jr. (knee) was listed as a full participant. Kickoff between Green Bay and Atlanta is set for 1 p.m. ET on Sunday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
