Packers list RBs MarShawn Lloyd, Emanuel Wilson questionable in Thursday injury report
The Green Bay Packers released their final injury report for Week 1, and there’s some concern for running backs MarShawn Lloyd and Emanuel Wilson. For the Friday night game against the Philadelphia Eagles, Lloyd and Wilson are listed as questionable.
Lloyd, who has a hamstring injury, practiced Sunday and Monday before sitting on Tuesday as part of his return-to-play process. He then was a limited participant in practice on Thursday. Wilson, who has a hip injury, practiced all week on a limited basis. If Lloyd and Wilson are inactive for Friday’s game, the Packers have three running backs on their practice squad: Ellis Merriweather, LaMical Perine and Chris Brooks.
Tight end Tucker Craft, who has a back injury, was added to the injury report on Wednesday. He practiced on a limited basis on Thursday and was listed as questionable. Linebacker Edgerrin Cooper (hip), wide receiver Romeo Doubs (hand) and cornerback Carrington Valentine (hamstring) were full participants in practice and will play on Friday.
MarShawn Lloyd, Emanuel Wilson part of new Packers RB room
The running back room got a complete makeover during the offseason. The Packers signed Josh Jacobs and selected Lloyd in the third round of this year’s draft. The additions of Jacobs and Lloyd come after Green Bay released Aaron Jones in March. Wilson joined the Packers last year and rushed for 85 yards on 14 carries in seven games. Lloyd and Wilson will see their share of action this season since AJ Dillon is out for the entire year with a neck injury.

In April, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur talked about the team releasing Jones for Jacobs. “It kind of caught me off guard, to be honest with you,” LaFleur said at the NFL Annual League Meeting, per CBS Sports. “There were some other things in play, obviously with Aaron Jones, and I didn’t quite know how everything was going to go. It just happened really fast on that Monday.”
The Packers are facing an Eagles team that will be down two players. Cornerback Isaiah Rodgers (hand) and linebacker Devon White (ankle) have been ruled out for the game that will be played in Brazil. Wide receiver A.J. Brown and offfensive lineman Landon Dickerson are also listed on the Eagles’ injury report, but both will play on Friday.
