Panthers CB Jaycee Horn ejected after punches thrown vs. Bears
Panthers defensive back Jaycee Horn was ejected on Sunday in their game against the Chicago Bears. With 4:23 left in the fourth quarter, a fight broke out in the end zone between the two teams after the Bears made the score 36-10. Roschon Johnson scored a touchdown and then that’s when Horn immediately started to get into it with Bears offensive lineman Bill Murray.
Here’s the video of the fight.
The Bears were up on the Panthers 27-7 in the first half. And Chicago outscored them 9-3 in the second half to ensure the blowout victory.
Bears offensive lineman Matt Pryor appeared to throw punches at multiple players on the opposing team, before he was shoved by Panthers linebacker DJ Johnson and fell to the ground. The replay also showed Pryor punching Horn on the side of his helmet.
Once officials reviewed the tape, they decided that both Pryor and Horn would be ejected from the game.

Panthers pick up fifth year option on Jaycee Horn this offseason
The Panthers picked up Horn’s fifth-year option on April 26. He missed most of the 2023 season due to a hamstring injury he suffered in Week 1. In 2022, Horn had a strong season, registering 53 tackles, three interceptions and seven passes defended in 13 games.
Horn was selected by the Panthers at No. 8 overall in the 2021 NFL Draft. During his rookie season, the former South Carolina Gamecocks star was placed on injured reserve due to a fractured foot and played in only three games.
“You see Jaycee around here—the work he’s putting in, the dedication, just being here every single day, busting his ass,” Panthers general manager Dan Morgan told reporters after picking up Horn’s fifth-year option. “He deserved it. I think, obviously, he’s had some tough stretches with injuries. But it’s not due to a lack of work or a lack of commitment from Jaycee. So we’re excited about him, we’re excited about his future and just really excited for him.”
