The Carolina Panthers are about to end their 2022-23 NFL season Sunday with one final divisional matchup against the New Orleans Saints, with nothing other than NFL Draft slotting to play for since both teams are already eliminated from playoff contention. So we could see some really strange lineups out there for these two clubs this week, especially if injuries hamper either roster.

Let’s take a look at which Panthers and Saints are banged up ahead of the final regular season tilt for these clubs.

Panthers Injury Report

Defensive tackle Matt Ioannidis is still dealing with a back injury and it kept him out of practice the last couple days. No playing status has been revealed for any of the injured players, but feels pretty unlikely that he’ll suit up Sunday.

Elsewhere, tight end Stephen Sullivan (elbow) and linebackers Chandler Wooten (ankle) and Joel Iyiegbuniwe (hamstring) were all limited at Thursday’s practice, with Wooten having missed yesterday’s practice while the other two were also limited on Wednesday. Again, no playing statuses yet released.

Last but not least, we get to Ace defensive lineman Brian Burns, who showed up on Thursday’s injury report with an apparent ankle injury. However, he was full-go at practice. If that ankle acts up at all in the next couple days, Carolina likely benches him.

Saints injury report

Well, New Orleans certainly had a longer report, with a couple of key guys missing practice.

The offensive line isn’t its healthiest, with Andrus Peat (ankle) and Ryan Ramczyk (hip) both missing Wednesday’s practice. Peat missed again on Thursday while Ramczyk returned but in limited capacity.

The only other player to miss Thursday’s practice is cornerback Paulson Adebo, who hasn’t practiced at all this week due to a hamstring injury.

Lastly, multi-faceted quarterback Tayson Hill also showed up on the report for a back injury, which has limited him the last two days.
