Panthers reveal 2023 uniform schedule, including games with new blue jerseys

You know the Carolina game schedule. And now Panthers fans will know which uniforms their favorite team will wear for each contest.

It’s called planning for the closet. The Panthers revealed their “jersey schedule” Tuesday morning. There will be eight Panthers games with their white uniforms, seven with black and two special contests with the blue ones.

It looks like the Panthers will wear their black alternate helmets with their new blue uniforms. The team announced that combo in June. It’s a black helmet, blue jersey and black pants. Brian Burns showed off the look back in June.

From the uniform schedule, the Panthers will sport these uniforms on trips to Florida. The first time will be a road game against the Miami Dolphins in week six. Then in week 13, the Panthers will wear the combo again at Raymond James Stadium against the Tampa Bay Bucs.

The Panthers announced plans for tweaking the blue uniforms in early April. In fact, even Carolina described the change as “slight.”

“It’s not a dramatic change,” according to the Panthers. “And perhaps not one most people will even notice.”

Here’s what’s changing. The blue color will be more authentic to the jerseys the Panthers first wore when they began play in the NFL. Back in 2012, when Nike made the uniforms, they didn’t have the exact match to Carolina’s “process blue” jersey color. But this new, 2023 blue is closest to the original one from 1995. The jerseys also feature a modified shoulder stripe. It stops right at the armpit. Nike says this will allow players to have better mobility.

Carolina officials also firmly put to rest the rumors about the team dropping silver from the color scheme. The silver still is very much in the different uniform combos.

The Panthers also revealed the jersey combos for their three exhibition games. They’ll sport white in their exhibition game against the Jets. They’ll also wear white for the second game against the Giants. Then they’ll don the blue jerseys for the final game against the Lions.

They’ll leave some details for a later date. The pants and sock colors will be announced closer to the individual games.
