Parker Kligerman Daytona disqualification: Henderson Motorsports issues statement after losing appeal

Following an appeal today, Henderson Motorsports and driver Parker Kligerman have failed to change the outcome of their disqualification. The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series organization has released a statement on the ruling.
“Update: Unfortunately we have lost our appeal regarding our disqualification from last week’s race in Daytona,” the team posted on its social media. “While we feel that we had a very strong case, we respect the panel’s decision. We’d again like to thank all the fans for their support. We’ve shown that we can compete, and we’ll be back. See you all in Bristol!”
The Henderson No. 75 truck was disqualified after Parker Kligerman was the unofficial winner under caution on the last lap. NASCAR disqualified the team after the truck failed postrace ride height requirements.
After presenting their case to the National Motorsports Appeals Panel, Henderson and Kligerman lost out on reversing the decision.
Parker Kligerman noted that this was the biggest win of his career. He had a passionate and inspiring interview on the frontstretch afterward. It felt like everything had finally aligned for Kligerman, who seemingly found a way to lose races in every possible way the last few years, found another way to suffer a loss.
As for Henderson Motorsports, it is a huge deal. Losing out on that win is massive for a small organization that only has one full-time employee. This also gives Corey Heim his first win of the season, like he needed any help getting wins.
The team plans to race at Bristol Motor Speedway later this season. Perhaps Parker Kligerman will find his way to victory lane again this season, without the DQ afterward.

Parker Kligerman DQ’d before Xfinity Series on The CW debut
This season, as a recently retired driver (at least from full-time competition), Parker Kligerman has a new role. He is one of the broadcasters at The CW for the NASCAR Xfinity Series.
Last week at Daytona, Kligerman went from winning his Truck Series race to being disqualified, and then the next day had to turn around and deliver Xfinity Series coverage for fans at home. It was his debut on The CW in his new role, and even with the outside noise around his win, he was exceptional.
Adam Alexander, Jamie McMurray, and Kligerman are going to be able to deliver the Xfinity Series to a totally new audience and still give long-time fans something to love. It was a great broadcast with its own identity and feel and aesthetic.
Heartbreaking for Parker Kligerman and Henderson Motorsports. One moment you are on top of the world. The next, you’re dead last with a DQ next to your name.
