Unfortunate news for Parker Kligerman. He has now been disqualified from the Daytona Truck Series race after postrace inspection. Corey Heim has been named the winner. A huge turn of events for the first NASCAR race of the weekend.

How does Parker Kligerman always find a way to lose these races? This time, his Henderson Motorsports No. 75 truck was too low in the rear. So, NASCAR had no choice but to issue the disqualification.

Corey Heim is the official winner of tonight’s Fresh From Florida 250.

I’m not sure how you can put this into perspective. Losing races late by slipping in speedy dry or just coming off the track on a road course. How about his loss at the Roval last year due to when the caution light came on? Now this. It’s enough to drive someone mad.

After the initial finish to the race, Parker Kligerman was on Cloud 9. He was elated. That has all come crashing down as NASCAR issues its ruling against the 75 truck.

These are those moments in sports you wish didn’t have to happen, but they do. The rules are the rules and are there for a reason. If that truck didn’t meet height requirements, then it isn’t legal. Corey Heim starts off 2025 with a win, though.

Parker Kligerman thanked Daytona fans in premature celebration

Despite the fact that this race won’t officially be a win, I can’t help but think of Parker Kligerman’s celebration. Sitting on the frontstretch, Kligerman was yelling and shouting with joy about Daytona, the fans, and the sport of racing.

You could see the pure joy on Parker’s face. He had a sense of relief. One postrace inspection later and all of that is gone. Even thinking about what that must feel like is almost too crushing.

All of this joy taken away:
“Daytona Regan, come on! Let’s go! Biggest win of my entire life. … I’m out of breath I can’t believe it, I was just making moves and just like, I don’t even, I just – every move I made felt like it worked,” Kligerman said, excitedly. “And for some reason it really did and these guys built an amazing truck. I can’t believe we’re here.”

Parker Kligerman will have to get himself mentally okay to cover the Xfinity Series tomorrow for The CW. After that, he can sulk about losing out on this win as much as he wants. A truly heartbreaking turn of events.
