Pat McAfee recently revealed if Aaron Rodgers is returning to his show for the 2024 NFL season. During ESPN Media Day at its Bristol headquarters on Wednesday, McAfee said the New York Jets quarterback may likely be on the show every Tuesday this fall.

“There’s a good chance that you probably see Aaron on Tuesdays again,” McAfee told reporters. Rodgers made headlines while appearing on The Pat McAfee Show last season. In January the four-time NFL MVP appeared on the show to address his beef with late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel.

“So the history of this … whatever this is, between Jimmy and I, this goes back to COVID times. In COVID times, he mentioned on his show, jokes about my immunization … and the fact that, my own research, he didn’t just stop there though,” Rodgers explained. “He made a lot of other comments about unvaccinated people. Mentioning that they don’t deserve treatment. If they’re at a hospital, they shouldn’t be given a hospital bed. … He gave a platform to one of the biggest spreaders of misinformation during the COVID times, Dr. Fauci.

“So in my opinion, he ripped me about the vax, and that turns out to be an L on many occasions. The vax was not safe and effective like we were told it was in the beginning. There are a lot of injuries we’ve seen related to the vaccine. So in my opinion, you went after me. That’s fine. You’re a comedian. Go for it. Not offended. But that was an L.”

Shortly after Rodgers’ comments, The Pat McAfee Show announced that Rodgers would no longer make his weekly appearances. But that didn’t mean Rodgers will no longer be on the show.

“Our fans know that (Aaron Rodgers Tuesdays) ends shortly after Aaron’s team’s season ends.. that’s how it’s been,” McAfee wrote at the time. “He’ll make random surprise welcomed pop-ins during big events or offseason adventures but, it’s always been a season thing. I never said he’ll never be on the show again. I hope he chooses to still chat with us. We’ve been lucky the last 4 years to ride the wave of a season with a 4X NFL MVP (2 of which during The ART Era) and get his thoughts along the way.. in real time.”

Rodgers will make his 2024 debut with the Jets on Monday, Sept. 9 when the team takes on the San Francisco 49ers. He missed nearly all of the 2023 season due to an Achilles injury.
