Patrick Mahomes brother apologizes for standing on Sean Taylor tribute Sunday

Kansas City star quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ brother Jackson apologized on Sunday night after he recorded a video while standing on the Washington Football Team’s tribute to legend Sean Taylor.
In the TikTok video, the 21-year-old dances on the No. 21 logo. Mahomes shares videos dancing on TikTok often to his more than 990,000 followers.
“I want to sincerely apologize for accidentally being on the Sean Taylor #21 at FedEx Field,” Jackson Mahomes wrote. “We were directed to stand in that area and I meant absolutely no disrespect to him or his family.”
Some WFT fans weren’t having it with Mahomes’ apology. The No. 21 painted on Fedex Field in honor of Sean Taylor was roped off before the tribute ceremony, but several people took pictures inside the area.
Kansas City and Patrick Mahomes took the win 31-13 on Sunday to move to 3-3 on the year.
Chase Young pays touching tribute to Sean Taylor
NFL Rookie of the Year Chase Young paid a special tribute to Washington Football Team great Sean Taylor on Sunday afternoon. The WFT retired Taylor’s No. 21 jersey ahead of the game versus the Chiefs, but Young wanted to do his own tribute as well.
The former Ohio State Buckeye wrapped his facemask with tape just like Taylor did on gamedays for the former Redskins.
Chase Young was just 8 years old when Sean Taylor was shot and killed by home invaders in Miami, but he knows all about the All-Pro’s legacy.

Washington drafted Sean Taylor out of Miami with their No. 5 pick in the first round of the 2004 NFL Draft.
Taylor finished his rookie season with 76 combined tackles (60 solo), nine pass deflections, four interceptions, two forced fumbles, and a sack in 15 games and 13 starts.
Taylor switched his jersey number from No. 36 to No. 21 to start the 2005 season. It was his first season as the starter and he posted 70 combined tackles (60 solo), a career-high ten pass deflections, two interceptions, two forced fumbles, and a sack in 15 games.
In 2006, Sean Taylor was an alternate for the Pro Bowl but got to play due to an absence. He finished the year with a career-high 111 tackles (86 solo), six pass deflections, three forced fumbles, and an interception.
Taylor led the NFL in interceptions with five in 2007 before the home intruders shot and killed him in November. His killers were caught and charged with second-degree murder, and Taylor was awarded a posthumous Pro Bowl selection.
