Not many people have slowed down Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes in his NFL career. Since coming into the league in 2017, Mahomes has been named MVP twice, won a pair of Super Bowls and won two Super MVP awards.
Still, there are a limited number of players who have given the 27-year-old trouble.
Mahomes recently was asked for and named the three toughest players he has played against in his career. He didn’t hesitate when naming the toughest.
“In my career, Aaron Donald is one, that’s out the gate,” Patrick Mahomes said, via Complex Sports.
It’s no surprise that Mahomes has Aaron Donald at the top of his list. The former Pitt Panthers star has been named the NFL Defensive Player of the Year three times and has earned first-team All-Pro honors seven times.
The No. 2 defensive player on Mahomes’ list may be a surprise to some, especially considered he was traded this offseason and the Rams didn’t get all that much back. Joining Donald in Mahomes’ top 3 is Dolphins defensive back Jalen Ramsey.
“I’ll say Jalen Ramsey, especially the last few years, has always been a dog. And I know he’s going to Miami, so he’s one of them,” Mahomes said.

Finally, Mahomes mentioned a pass rusher who has given him some issues in his career in Von Miller.
“And then Von Miller. I’m glad he’s not in my division anymore,” Mahomes joked.
Miller was with the Broncos for several years, before spending time with the Rams and Bills. He has won a pair of Super Bowls, including a Super Bowl MVP.
Von Miller says knee is ‘all healed up’ ahead of Bills training camp
Speaking of Miller, he is hoping to have a big season in 2023.
Miller says his surgically-repaired knee is in such good shape that the Bills won’t need to place him on the PUP list to start training camp.
Now, playing in the opener is another story. We’re still six weeks away from the start of Buffalo’s preseason camp. But Miller, who wants to add a third Super Bowl ring with the Bills, thinks he’ll be healthy enough to play in the season opener. He tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee last Thanksgiving in the Bills road win over Detroit.
“I have good information from my doctor, and my knee is all healed up,” Von Miller told the Buffalo News. “It’s all about me and how confident I can be (over) the next three months.”
