The internet was buzzing on Sunday afternoon, when news broke that pop superstar Taylor Swift was going to be in attendance in Arrowhead Stadium to watch Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs perform. The Chiefs absolutely dominated the Chicago Bears in a 41-10 throttling, much to the delight of Swift and Travis Kelce’s mother, who watched the game together from a skybox. Following the game, Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes knew that since Taylor Swift was in the house, that he had to get Kelce the rock.

Check it out below.

Did he feel any pressure from the Swifties to get Travis Kelce a touchdown catch?

“I felt a little bit of pressure. And so I knew I had to get it to Travis. And of course, on a route that Travis, he does his own thing and makes up a route and I throw it to ’em. So, I think he wanted to get in the end zone as much as all the Swifties wanted him to,” Mahomes said following the game.

The Kansas City offense has looked like a work in progress for much of the season, until Sunday. Things finally clicked as they lit up the scoreboard for 41 points against the Bears, looking like the Chiefs’ offense usually has the past few years under Mahomes and Andy Reid.

“Yeah, I know. It was fun,” Mahomes began. “It’s always a work in progress but it was fun to have this kind of offensive explosion and get things going in the right direction. And we’ve gotta keep building. We’ve gotta keep building. A lot of young receivers. I was glad to get the run game going and get some of those guys going as well.”

What did he enjoy the most about their offense clicking? “Yeah, I think getting the run game going, I think, was the biggest thing for me. I mean, it gets lost when you see the high flying in the NFL today, but when you get that run game going, the whole offense goes, and I was proud of the o-line and running backs doing that,” Mahomes said.

Travis Kelce was seen leaving Arrowhead with Taylor Swift after the game.

Important stats for Mahomes and the Chiefs’ offense
