Patrick Mahomes can take jokes in stride, particularly about his physical appearance. Fresh off another AFC Championship Game win, Mahomes was caught in the postgame locker room giving a speech.

Well, during the speech Mahomes was shirtless. Mind you, this man is a professional athlete, arguably the best quarterback in the game today and even receiving potential GOAT status when it’s all said and done.

At a probably less than flattering angle, Mahomes’ appearance was dubbed the “dad bod.” If you know, you know.

“Yoooo why they have to do me like that!?!?!? (laughing emojis) #DadBodSZN,” Mahomes wrote on Twitter. “Like i got kids!!!! @Chiefs @insidetheNFL @NFL (laughing emojis).”

A troll/satire Twitter account, which has a profile picture of a ballooned Mahomes, funny enough, tweeted out the screenshot in response. Heck, he loves Mahomes regardless.

So as you can see, the muscle definition is a little down right now, but it’s alright. Mahomes is going back to his fourth Super Bowl and looking to win a third title.

Let’s be real, Tom Brady always got made fun of for his physical appearance at the NFL Scouting Combine back in 2000.

Winning 17-10 over the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC title game on the road wasn’t the usual offensive dominance, but Mahomes delivered. He found Marquez Valdes-Scantling for a game clinching throw down the field.

The receiver secured the 32-yard catch, allowing Mahomes to take a knee on the next three downs to run out the clock in a 17-10 victory. Speaking with CBS’ Tracy Wolfson after the win, Mahomes explained the final play.

“They brought everybody,” he said. “They were gonna challenge us and the guys stepped up and made plays. God put a lot of adversity in our way this year and we accepted the challenge and we’re better for it. It’s been a heck of a year. We’re not done yet, but this is the way to get there.”

Mahomes finished the contest 30-of-39 passing for 241 yards and a touchdown. Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce also had 11 catches, 116 yards and a touchdown to surpass Jerry Rice for the most all-time postseason receptions.

“It’s been a heck of a year,” Mahomes said. “We’ve been underdogs for the last few games, but we never feel like underdogs. We’ve got a lot of guys on this team that know how to win, and when playoffs came around we knew we were gonna make it happen. Now we’re in the Super Bowl and the job’s not done. We’ve got to go out there to Vegas and play a great team and see if we can go out there and get the Super Bowl.”
