Patrick Mahomes Sr., John Rocker get into Bourbon Street confrontation during Super Bowl week

Patrick Mahomes Sr. and former MLB player John Rocker got into a confrontation on Bourbon Street during Super Bowl LIX week. Video showed the two exchanging words in a heated moment.
It’s unclear what led to the exchange, which occurred outside a New Orleans bar. No punches were thrown, and the two former major leaguers eventually walked away.
Mahomes played in MLB from 1992-2003 with the Minnesota Twins, Boston Red Sox, New York Mets, Texas Rangers, Chicago Cubs and Pittsburgh Pirates. Rocker, meanwhile, played for the Atlanta Braves, Cleveland Indians, Rangers and Tampa Bay Devil Rays during his career from 1998-2003. The two were never on the same team together.
Mahomes’ son, Patrick Mahomes II, and the Kansas City Chiefs fell to the Philadelphia Eagles in blowout fashion in Sunday’s Super Bowl. It meant the Chiefs fell short of becoming the first team in NFL history to win three Super Bowls in a row, and the Eagles brought home their first title since 2018 with the resounding victory.
The Super Bowl is traditionally the biggest game of the year in American sports. That proved to be the case once again as FOX drew a historic TV ratings victory.

An average of 126 million people tuned in for the game, which set a record-high for the Super Bowl. That figure peaked at 135.7 million viewers, and 133 million tuned in for the halftime show starring Kendrick Lamar and SZA, as well as Samuel L. Jackson.
The Eagles scored the first 34 points of the game en route to an eventual 40-22 victory over the Chiefs. Kansas City scored a pair of touchdowns in the fourth quarter to help cut into the lead. However, it was too late for the Chiefs and Philadelphia took the victory by three scores – ending the hopes of a historic third consecutive Super Bowl win for Kansas City.
Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts finished 17-of-22 passing for 221 yards, with two touchdowns and one interception. He also ran for 72 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries, frequently moving the chains by slipping free from the pocket and picking up key first downs. For his efforts, he was awarded MVP honors.
The Eagles were dominant in their victory, holding the Chiefs to just six first downs at one point in the fourth quarter. Kansas City was held to just 49 rushing yards on the night – 25 of which came from Mahomes.
