Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce's homes burglarized within hours of each other
The homes of Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce were burglarized last month within 48 of each other, according to a report from TMZ Sports. Mahomes’ eight-acre estate in Belton, Missouri was broken into on Sunday, Oct. 6 at midnight, and Kelce’s Leawood, Kansas home was broken into on Monday, Oct. 7 at 7:33 p.m. local time, the same day the Kansas City Chiefs were playing the New Orleans Saints.
Police were called to Mahomes’ mansion at 12:08 a.m., and here were no signs of forced entry to the home. For Kelce’s home, police didn’t arrive at the property until 1:36 a.m. the following morning. It was reported that $20,000 in cash was reported missing and a rear door was broken.
TMZ also reported that Kelce and girlfriend Taylor Swift stayed at a downtown Kansas City hotel the night of the Oct. 7 burglary after the Chiefs’ Monday Night Football battle with the Saints at Arrowhead Stadium. The outlet was told Kelce and Swift’s security “wasn’t playing around after the break-in.” It’s possible the burglaries could be part of a larger crime spree in the area, according to TMZ.
“Obviously, it’s frustrating,” Mahomes told repoters on Wednedsay when asked about his home bring burlgaized, per TMZ. “It’s disappointing. Obviously something that you don’t want to have happen to really anybody, but obviously yourself.”

More on the homes of Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce
Patrick Mahomes purchased the eight-acre parcel of land in September 2020 and used it to build their “dream home”. The three-time Super Bowl Champion quarterback, his wife Brittany, and the two children (a third child is on the way) moved into the home during the summer of last year. The home includes a 50-yard football field, a pool with a swim-up bar and a par-3 golf hole.
Kelce moved into his home after his romance with Swift went public. He paid $6 million for the home and includes six bedrooms, six bathrooms and over 16,000 square feet of living space.
The break-ins come as the Chiefs remain rundefeated. On Sunday, the Chiefs defeated the Denver Broncos to improve to 9-0 on the season. Kansas City has won 15 consecutive games dating back to last year (and including the playoffs). This is the third time in franchise history the Chiefs have started the season 9-0 with the last two times happening in 2003 and 2013. They have never begun the season 10-0.
