Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce share a beautiful connection on the field and now they’re hoping for a tasty one off of it.

The Kansas City Chiefs stars announced Thursday that they are investing in an upscale steakhouse. It won’t feature their names, just the jersey numbers that the NFL fans love and fear.

They’re calling it 1587 Prime. And it will be opening in early 2025. Who knows, maybe Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce will be celebrating another Super Bowl win by then. The two are partnering with Noble 33, a hospitality group that has upscale restaurants across the country.

Kelce said the new restaurant will be a “one-of-a-kind dining experience.” He added “what better place to start than our very own Kansas City.”

Mahomes added that he and Kelce have dined at other Noble 33 restaurants. “So it only made sense to bring something special to our own community in Kansas City,” Mahomes said, adding to Kelce’s comments.

Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce already are partners in three restaurant franchises

If you live in Kansas City or visit there, then you know that KC features several prominent steakhouses. What will make this one stand out or be special? The two superstars announced it as the “ultimate experiential dining destination.” It will take up two floors inside the downtown Loews Kansas City Hotel. The restaurant will be 10,000 square feet.

Diners probably won’t see Super Bowl trophies or other obvious signs of the playing careers of Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce. Rather, there will be “hyper-subtle nods.”

The two already are food partners, with ownership in franchises of Whataburger, Casa Azul, and Chicken N Pickle. Tosh Berman, who helps run Noble 33, said that the two Chiefs likely will open other restaurants.

Who knows, maybe Taylor Swift will be part of the dining experience. She and Kelce have been dating for almost seven months. The restaurant plans call for several private dining rooms, so the world’s most-popular pop star can duck in and out.

Since the Super Bowl win in Las Vegas, Kelce has twice joined Swift’s Eras Tour. The tight end now is a true jet setter, with his quick trips to Australia and Singapore.
