Paul Skenes gifts Livvy Dunne baseball card of their dog Roux
Star LSU gymnast Livvy Dunne recently celebrated her 22nd birthday and received an incredible gift from her boyfriend, Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes. While those two are quite the power couple, the real star might be Dunne’s dog, Roux. So Skenes got a baseball card of Roux made with Topps.
The card is one of a kind, having a photo of Dunne and Roux on the front. “Happy Birthday Liv!” is there as well with the date of Oct. 1, 2024, signifying her birthday. But it’s on the back of the card where all of the fun is had, providing stats about Roux’s life.
Roux is like any dog on loves chewing on a good stick and eating steak. The young pup is just over a year old and weighs 55 pounds according to the card.
You can check out the full gift from Dunne below, posted by the Topps X account after the gymnast shared on her Snapchat story.
A creative gift, for sure, and one Dunne will never want to let go of. As you can tell from her caption on Snapchat, she is a big fan, captioning it “ELITE GIFT” and laughing at the stats.

Livvy Dunne talks role with LSU gymnastics
Dunne also talked about being an alternate for much of LSU’s 2024 season. “I think that position is super hard because there’s a bunch of people telling you that you’re not important or you’re not really part of the team when you are,” Dunne said. “There’s more people that aren’t doing things than are. It’s hard. The sport is competitive and being on a team is a healthy competition everyday to push each other to be better. There definitely were times where my love for the sport lulled.”
Dunne is currently dating Pittsburgh Pirates (and former LSU) pitcher Paul Skenes who had a memorable rookie season. In 23 starts, Skenes posted a 11-3 record with a 1.96 ERA and 170 strikeouts.
“I had some nerves creeping in at first, but I kind of channeled that into excitement more than nerves,” Dunne said about Skenes’ debut in May, per MLB.com. “I just have the most confidence in him ever, so I trust in him and what he’s put in, and I’m just so excited.”
