WATCH: Peyton Manning furious with Brett Maher following third-straight missed extra point
After a slow start to their NFC Super Wildcard matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Dallas Cowboys have been rolling on offense and defense. Unfortunately, Cowboys fans wish they could say the same thing about their field goal unit, right now. Dallas has scored three straight touchdowns against Tampa Bay. But instead of leading 21-0, the Cowboys are only up 18- 0 after kicker Brett Maher missed all three of his extra-point attempts.
Those missed kicks were not missed by the Manning brothers, Peyton and Eli, on the ESPN ManningCast. After Maher’s third missed kick, former star quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos Peyton Manning had seen enough, even suggesting that Maher needs to be cut immediately.
The Kicking Woes continue for Maher
The Manning brothers weren’t the only ones who were not thrilled with the three misses. After missing his third extra point attempt, Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has a few words to say and a suggestion on what Dallas should do if they score again. The Cowboys quarterback let out some frustration, appearing to yell, “Go for f****** two!” after Maher’s third extra point kick went wide left.

The Nebraska alum had missed just three extra points all season long but doubled his total in the first half. The bad news is those three missed kicks put Maher’s name in the record books. He has become the first kicker to miss three extra point kicks in a playoff game.
After coming back from the half, Dallas added to their lead, and Maher added to his record. The Cowboys scored another touchdown on Prescott’s third touchdown pass of the night, Maher proceeded to miss his fourth extra point attempt in the game; this time hitting the right goal post. Dallas currently leads 24-0 midway through the third quarter.
