The rumored relationship between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce has taken the country by storm, bringing together the Swifties and NFL fanatics. The iconic pop star has been all over television screens during Chiefs games as their newfound romance has earned just as much — or more — attention than what’s happened on the field.

That led late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, who appeared as a guest on Monday night’s Manningcast of the Packers and Raiders game, to pose an interesting question to Peyton Manning. He asked the former NFL quarterback and two-time Super Bowl champion how he’d have handled the situation in the locker room if it were his teammate.

Manning wouldn’t have minded, so long as it didn’t affect the play on the field. It certainly hasn’t for Kelce, as the Chiefs are 4-1 and he leads the team with 27 catches for 222 yards and three touchdowns.

“As long as Kelce is catching balls, I think you can bust ’em at the same time,” Manning said. “But he’s catching them very well and that’s all I really care about in the locker room. He and Kittle are the best tight ends. They’re both kicking butt.”

The conversation then turned to which pop star of Manning’s era would draw the same attention as Swift. Kimmel suggested Britney Spears, though Peyton deflected and turned the attention to his younger brother, Eli.

“Britney’s from Kentwood, Louisiana,” he said. “Eli’s from New Orleans. Eli, you liked Britney’s music growing up, right?”

Eli confirmed he was indeed a fan of Spears growing up, saying it could have been a possibility at the time.

“Oh yeah. I was in high school when she was in college,” he said. “She would be it.”

Jason, Travis Kelce say NFL is ‘overdoing it’ with Taylor Swift coverage

Maybe, just maybe, the 17 times NBC cameras flashed to Taylor Swift last Sunday night was one too many. So says rumored boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother, Jason.

The two mentioned all the attention during the Wednesday edition of their New Heights podcast. Travis Kelce was with his Kansas City teammates on the field at MetLife Stadium in the Meadowlands, N.J. Swift sat with some of her very famous friends, including Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, in a stadium suite. It was her second straight Sunday spent watching the Chiefs. The NFL, via its X account, touted to the millions and millions of Swifties that the Chiefs were 2-0 when their queen cheered him on in person.

On the podcast, Jason Kelce asked Travis: “What is your honest opinion on how the NFL is treating celebrities at games?”

Travis Kelce offers: “I think it’s fun when they show who all is at the game. I think it brings a little bit more to the atmosphere, brings more to what you’re watching. But at the same time…”

Jason finishes the thought: “They’re overdoing it.”

“They’re overdoing it a little bit for sure, especially my situation,” Travis Kelce says. “I think they’re just trying to have fun with it…”
