PFF releases 2023 NFL Mock Draft after Week 5 of college football
The NFL draft might be months from now, but that doesn’t mean NFL personnel departments aren’t already elbow deep figuring out which prospects are worth pursuing and who they’ll pass on. With five weeks of college football on the books, Pro Football Focus has dropped an updated mock draft.
Unsurprisingly, quarterbacks dominated the top of the one-round mock draft with four going in the Top 10 and receivers are well represented. Three wideouts are projected to be picked in the Top 16.
The Big Ten and SEC are the best represented conferences with seven players a piece — Georgia, Alabama and Ohio State are doing the heavy lifting there. The ACC has six players projected, just ahead of the Big 12’s five. The Pac 12 has three players projected to be picked. The last three projected picks are from Notre Dame (two players) and one from Army.

There are only 31 picks in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft as the Miami Dolphins forfeited a pick as a result of an NFL investigation. The draft order PFF used is based on Super Bowl odds.
