One Philadelphia Eagles fan had too much fun while celebrating the team’s 55-23 victory over the Washington Commanders in the NFC Championship. A video showed the fan falling from a light pole while hanging on to an Eagles banner. The person seemed to be okay as he jumped up and began cheering.

Eagles fans are known for celebrating on light poles around Philadelphia when the team wins a big game. On Thursday, Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker and Managing Director Adam Thiel warned fans not to climb on the poles.

“Be nice with the poles. I don’t want anyone telling me any pedestrian lighting has fallen,” Parker said, per 6ABC.

The fans weren’t “nice with the poles” based on the video. But Eagles fans are excited as the team has a chance to win their second Super Bowl since the 2017 season.

After the NFC Championship game, Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni praised quarterback Jalen Hurts for his play this year. “How about our quarterback? He’s a stud,” Sirianni said on Fox after the game, per Pro Football Talk. “I knew he was going to play that way. I knew it. Don’t doubt him. All he does is win.”

Eagles will face Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX

Sirianni spoke more about Hurts during the postgame press conference. “It’s amazing how much doubt there is sometimes,” Sirianni said. “I can’t quite comprehend it. It doesn’t look like people think it should look like, but the guy has been clutch. He’s won a ton of football games.”

The Eagles have a tough task ahead of them as they will take on the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl. Both teams are no strangers to each other as the Chiefs defeated the Eagles in Super Bowl LVII. Despite the loss, Hurts had a memorable performance, throwing for 304 yards and one touchdown while rushing for 30 yards and three scores.

“It’s tough,” Hurts said at the time, per the Associated Press. “We worked really hard to have this opportunity and to come up short it’s tough. There’s always a lot to learn from, to have an opportunity to reflect on some of the things we didn’t do and could have done. There is a lot to learn from tonight.”
