Philadelphia Eagles make decision on visiting White House to celebrate Super Bowl win

The Philadelphia Eagles have made their decision on visiting the White House to celebrate their Super Bowl victory. According to multiple reports, the Eagles are planning on visiting the White House this offseason and look forward to receiving an invitation.
Three days before the Super Bowl, the U.S. Sun reported that the Eagles would not visit the White House if they won the championship game. The White House has not extended an invite to the Eagles, and it’s not clear if an invitation is on the way.
It’s been a tradition for champions of major sports leagues to visit the White House. However, when Donald Trump took office for the first time in 2016, multiple teams opted not to go — including the Eagles, after they won Super Bowl LII in 2018.
This led to the White House canceling the event. Trump then said the Eagles disagree “with their President because he insists that they proudly stand for the National Anthem, hand on heart, in honor of the great men and women of our military and the people of our country.”
Will the White House invite the Philadelphia Eagles?
Donald Trump then wrote on X/Twitter, “The Philadelphia Eagles Football Team was invited to the White House. Unfortunately, only a small number of players decided to come, and we canceled the event. Staying in the Locker Room for the playing of our National Anthem is as disrespectful to our country as kneeling. Sorry!”

If the Eagles aren’t invited to the White House, the team likely won’t stress over it. Shortly after the Super Bowl, the Eagles celebrated the win with a parade in Philadelphia that included over one million fans.
“Like I’m saying, enjoy this,” Eagles defensive lineman Brandon Graham told NBC Philadelphia (per WHYY). “I know that these opportunities, these moments, come and go, just make sure I document every day so I have something to show my kids, even though they’re here now.”
“Being an Eagles fan, I know how people love to hate us. You people love to hate us,” Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro told fans at the post-parade rally. “They love to root against us, but something I noticed is that all of a sudden, people were coming together to cheer on our Philadelphia Eagles, not just here in Philly, but all across America. “
