Philadelphia Eagles QB Kenny Pickett injured against Dallas Cowboys
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Kenny Pickett was injured in the third quarter against the Dallas Cowboys after taking a vicious shot from Micah Parsons.
On 3rd and Goal, Pickett found AJ Brown in the back of the end zone for a touchdown. However, it was wiped out due to a holding penalty.
As he threw the football, Pickett was hit by Parsons in the shoulder area as he released the ball from his hand. It was later revealed Pickett’s ribs were affected by the hit, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Already battling a rib injury suffered in last week’s loss to the Washington Commanders, Pickett was ushered to the locker room following the play. Third string quarterback Tanner McKee subbed in for the Eagles, but handed off to Saquon Barkley as the Eagles settled for a field goal and a 27-7 lead.
Pickett was questionable to return upon first inspection. He eventually emerged from the locker room but was in street clothes. By the time he did so, McKee already threw his first career touchdown, courtesy of a reception from Brown.

Kenny Pickett injured vs. Cowboys
Pickett already went viral earlier in the game with a bizarre pass that forced him to the ground. Although he recovered and settled in to give the Eagles the lead.
As far as starting QB Jalen Hurts is concerned, he might be out until the playoffs, depending upon what the Eagles need to do in terms of seeding.
“Jalen Hurts, they hope he can come back Week 18,” ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler said. “He’s still in the early stages of that concussion protocol, yet to step onto the practice field for any sort of meaningful snaps. And look, if they lock up the NFC East, yeah, how much do they need (Hurts in Week 18)?”
If the Eagles win without Hurts in Week 17, they’ll be 13-3, NFC East champions and the No. 2 seed in the playoffs. To get the No. 1 seed, Philadelphia would have to win Week 18 against the New York Giants, have the Detroit Lions lose to the San Francisco 49ers and Minnesota Vikings in their final two games and have the Vikings lose to the Green Bay Packers Sunday.
