The Philadelphia Eagles have selected Nebraska defensive tackle Ty Robinson in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. They did so with the No. 111 overall pick in the draft.

Robinson had a productive six-year career with the Cornhuskers. He started off a little slow, then became an every-down starter in his final three seasons.

The 6-foot-6, 310-pound prospect started 47 games in 60 appearances for the Cornhuskers. He tallied 134 tackles, 26.5 tackles for a loss, 12.0 sacks, a forced fumble, 12 pass breakups and 12 passes defended.

He had a real knack for getting his hands up in the passing lanes. That’s something that will certainly appeal to NFL scouts.

During his senior season at Nebraska, Ty Robinson had his best campaign yet. He logged a career-high 37 tackles, 12.5 tackles for a loss, 7.0 sacks, a forced fumble, four pass breakups and four passes defended.

That had NFL scouts drooling over his potential. So Ty Robinson became a guy that NFL teams were watching.

What NFL Draft analysts are saying about Ty Robinson

There’s a whole lot of tape on Ty Robinson at this point, something that should only help his case given his production has increased considerably over time. There are a few traits NFL scouts and analysts have honed in on.

Writing for the NFL Network, Lance Zierlein highlighted some of those. Here was his pre-draft evaluation of Robinson:

“Bully with a roughshod playing style that forces blockers to match his physicality. Robinson is built for the trenches with the versatility to play in odd or even fronts. He’s first into contact with his hands and mitigates average knee-bend with brute force in his upper half.

“He’s powerful to set edges but lacks length to control and quickly shed NFL blockers. He’s an effort rusher with active hands who can exploit a weak edge and thrive in gaming fronts but possesses average creativity. Robinson might not be a star, but his effort, strength and demeanor could make him a productive pro for years to come.”
