Pitbull makes abrupt announcement ending partnership with NASCAR's Trackhouse Racing

Pitbull announced Friday he has made the decision to “terminate the partnership with Trackhouse Racing, effective immediately.”
The announcement comes to just two days before the 67th running of the Daytona 500, in which Pitbull is scheduled to perform a pre-race concert. The 44-year-old did not reveal the reason for his exit from the race team.
“Ending partnership with Trackhouse Racing,” Pitbull wrote on X. “Over the past five years, we’ve made history by introducing NASCAR to a whole new audience and falling in love with NASCAR fans at the same time. We have made the decision to terminate the partnership with Trackhouse Racing, effective immediately. We’re looking forward to performing on the sport’s biggest stage this Sunday, the Daytona 500. It is a true honor, Dale!”
Pitbull, the Grammy Award-winning rapper, has been a co-owner since Trackhouse’s inception in 2021. Trackhouse, with Pitbull, Justin Marks and Avenue Sports Fund leading the way, had their first season of NASCAR Cup Series competition in 2021.

Pitbull leaving Trackhouse Racing after four years of co-ownership
Marks confirmed Pitbull’s exit in a separate post.
“This is a great business story,” Marks wrote. “Armando [Pitbull] came in when we had no certainty of any material success and took a chance to help build a brand. Now that we’ve scaled up and have new partners, he’s been able to be rewarded for the impact he’s made. A great investment on both ends. Excited to see what he does next! DALE!”
Trackhouse has seen steady growth during Pitbull’s tenure with the team, initially fielding the No. 99 Chevrolet for Daniel Suárez. Ross Chastain was added in 2022, piloting the No. 1 car. Trackhouse now has three full-time drivers in Suárez, Chastain and Shane van Gisbergen, who is behind the wheel of the No. 88. All three will be in the field for the Daytona 500 along with four-time Indy 500 champion Helio Castroneves. The 49-year-old is driving the No. 91 car for Trackhouse’s Project 91 program.
Trackhouse has earned eight wins as a team — five with Chastain, two with Suárez and one with van Gisbergen.
