The Pittsburgh Steelers, coming off a statement 23-16 victory in Week 1 over the heavily-favored Buffalo Bills, will face the 1-0 Las Vegas Raiders at home in Heinz Field, but they’ll have to do it without the help of two starting defenders.

The Steelers on Sunday shared their Week 2 inactives ahead of the home contest, and two starting defenders previously listed as questionable — linebacker Devin Bush and cornerback Joe Haden — were officially ruled out, the team announced.

The full list of Steelers inactives is as follows:

Linebacker Devin Bush (groin injury)

Cornerback Joe Haden (groin injury)

Defensive tackle Carlos Davis (knee injury)

Quarterback Dwayne Haskins (unspecified)

Offensive lineman Rashaad Coward (unspecified)

Steelers tight end Eric Ebron, who was added to Pittsburgh’s injury report on Thursday, appears to be active for Sunday’s contest, though it remains unclear whether the starting tight end will be on a snap count. Ebron in Week 1 had one catch for 19 yards against the Bills, and he was only targeted twice in the Steelers’ road victory in Buffalo. Rookie Pat Friermuth, by comparison, a Penn State product selected in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the Steelers, caught his only target on the afternoon for a 24-yard gain.

The Steelers left Buffalo last Sunday a little banged up from the contest; multiple players were nursing injuries this week, ranging in severity, which prompted Coach Tomlin to give some of his stars — quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster, namely — a day off from practice. In the Steelers’ weekly press conference, Tomlin clarified that those were healthy scratches, and fans have nothing to worry about.

“One man’s misfortune or the taking care of a veteran player is a growth opportunity for young guys,” Tomlin said. “There are some bumps and bruises associated with play, maybe a veteran guy or two who I’ll be minimizing at the early portions of the week. But you know we never spent a lot of time worrying about that.”

Shorthanded Steelers defense to face shorthanded Raiders offense

The Las Vegas Raiders will be without a few starters of their own against the Steelers, as starting running back Josh Jacobs was ruled inactive, among other players.

The Raiders’ full list of inactives is as follows:

Running back Josh Jacobs

Safety Roderic Teamer

Linebacker Nick Kwiatkoski

Guard Jordan Simmons

Guard Richie Incognito

Tight end Nick Bowers

Defensive tackle Damion Square
