The Steelers got some good news with its inactives release as Cameron Heyward and Chris Boswell will both be available for Saturday’s game. They were dealing with an illness throughout the week, and Boswell missed Wednesday and Thursday’s practices. Heyward returned Thursday as a full participant, indicating he’d be able the play in the Wild Card game.

In addition, with Allen as the emergency third quarterback, that means Justin Fields will serve as Russell Wilson’s backup. Mike Tomlin spoke about how the team could use Fields against the Ravens considering the Steelers are facing them for the third time this year.

“I’m certainly open to utilizing Justin,” Tomlin said. “He has an awesome skill set. We’ve done some of that in the past. We’ve done less of it in recent weeks. He experienced an injury a couple of weeks back that slowed some of that. But, certainly, in an effort to win this game I am open to any combination or combinations of the division of labor in an effort to do so, and so I’m certainly open to that as we develop plans this week.”
