Usually, TJ Watt is the one making quarterbacks fall down. The Pittsburgh Steelers pass rusher has been one of the best in the NFL over the past few years, living in the backfield. However, he was on the other side of things on Thursday afternoon.

Watt found himself cleaning his pool, as one does during the offseason. Just him and his dog were outside, as Watt was using the net. Attempting to take a few steps forward, he fell down like an AFC quarterback.

A huge splash was made after Watt fell into the pool. Thankfully, he was okay and Watt came out of the moment unharmed. Nobody, expect his dog, was there to witness Watt fall into the pool. But the dog hilariously did nothing more than raise their head.

“Warning.. The activity in this video may be dangerous… don’t try at home,” Watt said. “(I am completely ok)”

You can watch the full video, posted by Watt himself, here.

Thankfully, Watt was able to think quickly and saved his phone. He grabbed it out of his pocket and threw it onto the pool chair. Watt remained in the pool for a bit longer though, laughing about what happened.

People on Twitter had some hilarious reactions, with some making sure the Steelers’ star was okay. Someone asked him to wear floaties, with another saying they had a heart attack. Of course, all was in jest.

However, one of the best replies came from Watt’s brother, JJ. He came back with a meme, making fun of his brother the only way he knows how.

Moving forward, Watt will be able to stay completely dry when cleaning out his pool. There is quite an important season ahead for him in Pittsburgh.

TJ Watt prepping for another big season with Steelers

Watt was only able to play in 10 games last season, dealing with a torn pec. He was still able to put up impressive numbers, getting 5.5 sacks and eight tackles for a loss.

Now back completely healthy, Watt will be looking to get back to his Defensive Player of the Year award form. Pittsburgh is in desperate need of his performances, especially with a young Kenny Pickett still learning the ropes. Him coming off the edge has been the franchise’s biggest asset over the year.

Watt had four consecutive seasons of double-digit sacks. An injury held him back during 2022. But despite the pool’s best effort, a huge bounce back season is on the way.
