Pittsburgh Steelers assistant departing immediately to join Dan Lanning, Oregon Staff
The Pittsburgh Steelers have lost a key assistant coach to the Oregon Ducks.
According to Pete Thamel of Yahoo Sports, Steelers offensive line coach Adrian Klemm is departing for Oregon, where he’ll be OL coach, run game coordinator and asst head coach. He spoke to Mike Tomlin and is being let out today to start his new job.
Klemm became assistant offensive line coach in 2019. This year, the former NFL player was promoted to the primary job.
A second-round pick of the Patriots in 2000, Klemm spent six years in the NFL as a player. He coached at the college level from 2008 through 2016. After two years out of coaching, he joined the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2019.
Dan Lanning continues to assemble his new coaching staff while balancing his role as the Georgia defensive coordinator.
After falling to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, the Steelers will begin to put pieces in place for the future.

Pittsburgh Steelers routed by Kansas City Chiefs
Sunday’s 36-10 loss to the Chiefs may have been a glimpse into the future for Mike Tomlin and company.
Pittsburgh is still mathematically alive for a trip to the postseason, but there’s no reason to sort through all the scenarios that would allow it to qualify. The Chiefs so thoroughly dominated Pittsburgh that it was hard to wonder how the Steelers had remained in contention this long. This game was about one team surging at the right time of year and another bottoming out and accepting the reality that things will have to change drastically.
It’s time for huge changes for a Pittsburgh Steelers organization that has been a staple in the AFC for so long.
