The roster is set in Pittsburgh. The Steelers have released their 53-man squad for the 2023 NFL regular season, as the deadline was Tuesday at 4 p.m.

Pittsburgh heads into the 2023 campaign hoping to build off a strong finish to last season. The Steelers closed out last year with a 9-8 record, meaning head coach Mike Tomlin still has yet to post a losing record as the leader of the team.

But that record wasn’t good enough to reach the playoffs. Now, Pittsburgh has its sights set on a return to the postseason and making some potential noise.

Here’s a look at what the Steelers’ roster looks like heading into the 2023 regular season:

Steelers Offense

Kirk Herbstreit keeping his eye on Pittsburgh in 2023

Don’t sleep on the Steelers entering the 2023 season. NFL and college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit believes the team has something to prove heading into a new year.

Herbstreit named the Steelers as a team to take note of during the upcoming NFL season on The Pat McAfee Show.

“I think the Steelers can be a sneaky team, kind of a forgotten team,” said Herbstreit. “I just think that they’re just never used to being a team that going into the season? There’s so much focus, obviously, on the Bengals(Joe) Burrow, even Lamar (Jackson), and for good reason with what the Ravens consistency has been. The Steelers have always been a team that’s always been a playoff contender.”

“I don’t know. Because of the way their offense has been as they’ve transitioned with a new OC, new quarterback? I just feel like people don’t talk much about them,” Herbstreit said. “That organization has too much pride.”

Pittsburgh opens the year against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, Sept. 10.
