As the Pittsburgh Steelers try to bounce back from a Sunday Night Football loss to the Miami Dolphins, they’re going through the week shorthanded. Pittsburgh released its Wednesday injury report and one of Kenny Pickett’s top offensive weapons appeared as a limited participant.

Pat Freiermuth was a limited participant after suffering an ankle injury. He had a solid showing against Miami, hauling in eight receptions for 75 yards in the loss.

But it’s not all bad news. Star linebacker T.J. Watt was back at practice, but is still on injured reserve as he works his way back from a torn pec he suffered in Week 1.

Watt participated in Wednesday’s practice, but is still on injured reserve as he works his way back from a torn pec he suffered during the Steelers’ Week 1 game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Still, it’s a great sign for the Steelers to get the reigning NFL Defense Player of the Year back on the field.

Additionally, Pittsburgh announced wide receiver Calvin Austin III is staying on IR after his 21-day window to return expired. He’s dealing with a foot injury he suffered during training camp and isn’t quite ready to make his return.

The Steelers are coming off a Sunday Night Football loss to the Miami Dolphins to drop to 2-5 on the season. They’re currently getting ready for a big showdown against the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
