The Pittsburgh Steelers have received some massive news heading into the NFL Playoffs. After suffering a shoulder injury in a Week 5 game against the Denver Broncos and undergoing surgery, wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster is returning earlier than expected. He officially announced Saturday that he’ll play in the Steelers’ AFC Wild Card game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.

“God answered my prayers & I’ve recovered from my season-ending shoulder injury earlier than expected,” Smith-Schuster wrote on Twitter. “I can’t believe I get another chance to take the field with this team and play in a playoff game to keep our season alive. Steelers Nation, #HereWeGo!”

Smith-Schuster, who made 15 receptions for 129 yards prior to his injury, will provide a big boost for the Steelers’ offense against the Chiefs. While he gives the team another offensive weapon, Smith-Schuster’s return also gives him the opportunity to play at least one more game with Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

Smith-Schuster – the No. 62 pick by the Steelers in the 2017 NFL Draft – and Pittsburgh (9-7-1) are set to kickoff against Kansas City (12-5) at 8:15 p.m. ET on Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium. NBC will be carrying the national broadcast.

Incredible stat reveals how reliable Najee Harris has been during rookie season

Najee Harris really couldn’t have asked for a better first season in the NFL. The former Alabama standout who is now a running back for the Pittsburgh Steelers has been impressive throughout the entire year, having rushed for 1,200 yards and seven touchdowns with 307 carries.

While Harris’ 2021-22 numbers are strong, the former On3 Consensus five-star out of the Class of 2017 has another eye-catching stat line, as ESPN’s Field Yates shared.

Harris – a versatile 6-foot-1, 232-pound back – tallied 381 total touches in the regular season for the Steelers, which is the most in the NFL. Of those 381 touches, Harris didn’t fumble a single time. It’s the second-most touches without a fumble by a player in a single season in NFL history.

Harris put up 28 yards on 11 carries and had four receptions for 27 yards in Sunday’s 16-13 overtime win over the Baltimore Ravens.
