Pittsburgh Steelers vs Houston Texans Wednesday injury report
The Pittsburgh Steelers (2-1), coming off a 23-18 Week 3 win over the Las Vegas Raiders (1-2) Sunday, will look to make it three straight victories in Week 4.
Up next for the Steelers is a trip to Houston to face the Texans (1-2), who notched a 37-17 upset victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars (1-2) in Week 3. The Steelers remain a banged-up bunch, already feeling the absences of receiver Diontae Johnson and defensive lineman Cameron Heyward.
In total, 10 players landed on Wednesday injury’s report, with eight not taking part in practice, including veteran wideout Allen Robinson.
“From a health standpoint, got a couple of guys nursing some things,” head coach Mike Tomlin said. “James Daniels is being evaluated with a groin. Allen Robinson might be limited at the early portions of the week with an ankle. Some other bumps and bruises. Got a few guys back there [Tuesday] being looked at but don’t anticipate that slowing them down as we get closer to game time. Pressley Harvin with a hammy.
“We’ll see where those things kind of lead us. But as we stand here, they’re just going to limit us probably at the beginning portions of the week and be somewhat of a non-factor as we push forward toward game time.”

Pittsburgh will aim to build off its best offensive showing of the season, in which they put up a season-high 333 yards and averaged 5.6 yards a play.
Not bad for an offense that had a full crowd at Acrisure Stadium chanting “Fire [offensive coordinator Matt] Canada” just six days prior. While not a perfect performance by any means, it was a strong effort where the offense showed improvement.
For Tomlin, that was an encouraging sign for what’s to come.
“We’re getting better. We had better,” Tomlin said Tuesday. “Everyone better be getting better, regardless of the outcome of games, obviously, but it’s good enough to win the games. But there’s some components to get better. The planning component, the coach component, the playing component, and then the adjustment component.
“We’ve been dealing with all of those things and everyone does. But I just want to be really clear about just everyone’s still very much in development, as are we, and I saw some signs there to build upon in the midst of earning a victory.”
