Ahead of their Week 4 game with the New York Jets on Sunday, the Pittsburgh Steelers have made their Wednesday injury report available. The Steelers have had a lengthy period of rest coming off a Thursday night matchup last week, and their first injury report of the week only featured one player held out or limited in practice.

Steelers vs Jets Wednesday injury report

Did Not Participate – Steelers: CB Akhello Witherspoon (Hamstring)

Full Participation – Steelers: P Pressley Harvin (Left Hip), S Minkah Fitzpatrick (Concussion), OL Kevin Dotson (Ankle)

The major injury story from last week’s loss to the Cleveland Browns is the status of safety Minkah Fitzpatrick. Fitzpatrick entered the NFL’s concussion protocols after a collision during Thursday’s game, putting his status for the Jets in question. As of Wednesday, Fitzpatrick was a full participant in practice.

The Pittsburgh secondary is also facing a question with the health of Akhello Witherspoon, who was held out from practice entirely on Wednesday with a hamstring injury. It’s entirely possible that both Fitzpatrick and Witherspoon will be available on game day, but their status throughout the week will likely be the determining factor.

For Cleveland — although their injury report was not made available at the time Pittsburgh’s was released — the biggest question following them this week is the car accident that star Myles Garrett was involved in. Garrett was involved in a single-car accident this week while driving home from the practice facilities, when he swerved his vehicle to avoid an animal on the wet road.

Garrett’s vehicle flipped multiple times before coming to a stop. He and his passenger were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries where they were later released. The Browns released a statement detailing the situation and Garrett’s injuries, but made no claim about his availability for Sunday’s game yet.
