After a long week of preparation, the Pittsburgh Steelers are in action on Sunday against a fellow iconic NFL franchise in the Green Bay Packers.

Of course, many remember the Super Bowl these two teams played in a couple of moons ago. While Packers faithful reminisce on the game more fondly, it’s the Steelers entering Week 10 with the lion share of hype surrounding their season.

Pittsburgh is coming off of a victory last Thursday over the Tennessee Titans. Once again, the Steelers found a way to win, and continue to look towards the playoffs while keeping an eye on their fellow AFC North compatriots.

As for the Packers, they’ve been disappointing in 2023, but they’re coming off a win against the Los Angeles Rams last weekend. While Matthew Stafford wasn’t able to play, it was a slight return to form for Green Bay.

Ahead of the showdown, here’s who’s trotting in the right direction injury wise, as the Wednesday injury report has been released for the Steelers and the Packers.

Mike Tomlin downplays George Pickens’ frustrations after win over Titans

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin doesn’t have time for the reality show that is social media. That’s why he shrugged off George Pickens recent Instagram snafu.

Or maybe it was a tantrum. Either description, Tomlin wasn’t that interested that Pickens, his talented receiver, posted “Free Me” on his Insta Story hours after he experienced a rough performance against the Titans.

During Tomlin’s Tuesday press conference, a reporter asked the coach about dealing with struggling young players.

“Like breathing, it’s easy,” Tomlin said. “I know it’s a cute story for you guys, but it is a pebble in my shoe, to be quite honest with you, in terms of the things that I have to do in an effort to get this group ready to play this week.

“Our focus is on the Green Bay Packers and what we’re all going to do in this football game. And I can’t state it any plainer than that. It’s like reality television, the way you guys follow social media and write stories about it.”
